SCAN

Grab a camera

Guests scan the event code. No download, no account — a camera opens right in the browser.

SHOOT

Make it count

Twelve exposures. No screen to check, no deleting the bad ones. Every frame has to count.

DEVELOP

The host calls the reveal

Nothing shows until the host releases the roll — usually the morning after, once they've had a look through it. Then everyone sees the whole event at once.

For guests

You've been handed a camera

  1. Scan the code. The camera opens in your browser — no app, no account. First name's optional.
  2. Shoot your roll. Twelve exposures unless the host picked more. No preview, no take-backs. Works with no signal — shots upload when you're back on Wi-Fi.
  3. Keep a copy. "My shots" shows your frames as they develop; save any of them to your phone. You can pull a shot you regret, but the exposure stays spent.
  4. Leave your email — if you like. When the film's at the lab, say where to send the gallery. One tap removes it again.
  5. The reveal. The host releases the roll, usually the morning after. Everyone gets the whole event at once.
For hosts

You're running the darkroom

  1. Make the event. A name, when it starts and ends, shots per camera — 12, 24 or 36, or up to 72 if it runs into another day.
  2. Put the code out. Download or share the QR. Tables, the invite, the bar — wherever people will see it.
  3. Open it. From then on guests can join. Dates and shot count lock; the roll's rules can't change mid-party.
  4. Watch it fill. Cameras and photos land live. Hide anything you don't want in the gallery, whenever you like.
  5. Close and curate. It closes itself at the end time, or you close it early. Hide the misfires; put the frames in order.
  6. Develop & release. One tap publishes the gallery and emails everyone who asked for it. You can still hide photos after — there's no un-release.
  7. Share or embed it. Send the link, or drop the gallery into your own site. See API & Embed.
